The Big Day!
Each New Year's Eve is filled with hope of a new year, gratitude for the night that once again yields to a fresh morning, love for the friends who
have become family, and awe for the dreams that have become reality.
Please celebrate with us in our love on this date, the 31st of December, 2015, as we ring in our sixth New Year’s together!
The ceremony and reception will both be held at Melrose Market Studios, a venue just off of downtown Seattle.
**Please note, due to the late hour of the celebration, we strongly suggest young children are left at home.

Address: 1532 Minor Ave., Seattle, WA 98101
Entrance is on back side of building (Melrose Place), next to "Still Liquor"
Time: 6:00 pm - 12:30 am

Lodging:
As the wedding is being held on a holiday, AND in Seattle, we want to encourage everyone to obtain lodging near the venue. If you would rather stay outside of the downtown area, just be aware that there will be some challenges.
Parking in this area is rather limited when you consider the volume of people out on New Year’s Eve. [Please see the list below for the best places to try parking]
Metered street parking until 8pm
Republic parking lot ($15 eve special, 1208 Pine St.)
Homewood Suites ($45.15 valet parking only, 1011 Pike St)
If you will be partaking in our yummy adult beverages or simply find it daunting to look for parking, you could take a taxi or an Uber from your selected lodging. However, be warned that there will be a significant wait time on taxis (especially at the end of the night) and price increase on Uber rides.
If we have convinced you of the advantages to staying in hotels near the venue, we would like to provide some suggestions!
Homewood Suites by Hilton: (206) 682-8282, near the Convention Center in downtown Seattle: For those of you that don’t mind bunking up with another couple or friends, this is the best deal. Book any of the SUITES and they come with a queen or king bed AND a queen pull-out sofa bed (prices $189-229+tax). If you do not require the sleeper couch or kitchenette included in the suite, a non-suite is priced $179+tax. This hotel is 2 blocks from the venue as well!
The Baroness: (206) 583-6453, Queen sized bed with kitchenette runs $159+tax. This is a bit further walk, at 5 blocks.
The Roosevelt: (206) 621-1200, Double bed runs at $118+tax and this is a walk of 7 blocks up the hill from downtown.
If you are a free spirit and pride yourself on your bargain shopping, feel free to hunt through Kayak.com or VRBO.com within 0.5 miles of the venue.
Attire:
Formal! The joys of New Year’s and winter are sparkles and furs, so have fun with it!
Sustenance:
There will be a buffet dinner of locally sustainable fare provided, but please specify on your RSVP if you have the need for gluten free or
vegetarian options.
There will also be a small charcuterie/finger food table set out prior to the ball dropping.
A bartender will be serving local craft beers and wines.
**While the venue is transformed into the reception space, guests over 21 years of age will be asked to step next door to Still Liquor, and we
ask that you bring a small amount of money to purchase a cocktail or two from this bar while you wait.
