The Proposal!
September 6th, 2014, 2:00 pm:
One gorgeous fall day in Seattle, a girl and a boy were driving to Puyallup to have a lovely dinner with the boy's family.
He said, "I hear that a Seahawks fan is flying a banner over the city at 2 o'clock! Want to stop at Kerry Park on the way to dinner?"
She was in favor of the detour, so they strolled through the crowds of people in the park, awaiting the banner.
All of a sudden, the sound of an airplane made the girl look toward the sky...
She took a moment to realize what her eyes were seeing. Behind the small plane flying over the city skyline, a banner read "Robin, I love you. Will you marry me?"
Her hand immediately shot up to her mouth in surprise, and she looked over and saw the boy dropping to one knee.
The boy then proceeded to melt her heart counting off the days since he knew... "It's been 43 days since I asked your parents' permission, 1001 days since I told you that I love you, 1171 days since I told my mom you're the one, 1184 days since we started dating, and 2011 days since I first met you, which is the same year we began dating."
He pulled a small box out of his pocket. As it opened, the girl saw that it contained the most beautiful ring she had ever seen.
The girl looked at the boy, and through her tears, said "Yes!" to the love of her life.
[Sidenote: The boy had his friend hiding behind cars at the park to capture the moment. The girl was sporting a lovely wrist brace just procured that morning due to a wrist sprain inflicted at work by a 98 year old woman.]
